and join the members of Fleet 448 on a bike ride through the beautiful
island of Long Island
If you have never been to this beautiful Island, here is your chance.
Come One Come All!
We will be sailing to the Island on Long Island Ferry from New London
CT. The ferry ride is about an hour & 20 minutes long. Bring some
cash for lunch and shopping. We will be starting the bike ride in North
Fork, then off to who knows where, seeing this will be my first time
on Long Island in the North Fork area.

We
will most likely have 2 different rides planned. A shorter ride
of 10-20 miles which will give you more time for shopping, eating,
or just relaxing. And a longer ride of 20-30 miles where you will
get to travel more of the eastern end of the island. We might
divide into two groups, or all decide to stay together. All suggestions
are welcomed, if you have biked in this area before! |
Please meet us at the ferry by 8:30, as we will be taking the 9:00AM ferry. (Next ferry leaves at 10AM, if you miss this one. Call us and catch up later.) You can stay with the fleet or take off on your own. We expect to take either the 5 or 6PM ferry back from Orient Point, but you can take an earlier ferry back if you have other plans for the evening. Last ferry leaves the island at 8PM.
